Overview

Marvel Refrigeration is seeking a dependable and motivated Manufacturing Foam Technician Lead to support their growing manufacturing operations in Greenville, Michigan. This role involves leading foam production activities, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in the manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead daily foam production activities to achieve production goals and quality standards
  • Monitor foam equipment, materials, and processes for proper operation and efficiency
  • Train and support team members on foam production procedures and safety requirements
  • Execute and support cross-training initiatives for operational flexibility
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate corrective actions
  • Maintain production reports and communicate performance updates to management
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, materials, methods, and equipment
  • Participate in and facilitate Continuous Improvement programs
  • Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety practices
  • Lead shift meetings to communicate production goals and updates

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous manufacturing or foam production experience
  • Leadership or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate hand tools and manufacturing machinery safely
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to work shifts as mandated by management
  • Ability to coordinate and lead team members
