Job Description

Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for the second shift in Tucson, Arizona. The role involves developing and improving manufacturing processes while applying engineering skills to support customer requirements and collaborate with various teams. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with the ability to secure a government-issued security clearance.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions and workflow
  • Support daily manufacturing operations with process troubleshooting
  • Disposition non-conforming material and perform root cause analysis
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cycle time and reduce costs
  • Provide real-time technical support to manufacturing teams and the supply base
  • Develop tools and fixtures with a focus on ergonomics
  • Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence

Required skills

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum 2 years of engineering or manufacturing experience
  • Ability to obtain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques
  • Proficiency in CAD solid modeling tools (preferably CREO/ProE)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work across disciplines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
