Job Description

Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer II at Raytheon, you will play a key role in developing and improving manufacturing processes. This position involves collaborating with various teams to analyze product specifications, create Manufacturing Data Packages, and implement process improvements using Six Sigma principles.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, and tool designs
  • Support daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes
  • Disposition non-conforming material and conduct root cause and corrective action analysis
  • Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance cycle time and reduce costs
  • Provide real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators
  • Develop tools and fixtures to improve ergonomics in processes
  • Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence

Required skills

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum 2 years of engineering/manufacturing experience
  • Ability to obtain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance
  • Technical drawing interpretation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools, preferably CREO/ProE
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word)
  • Current DoD security clearance (secret) preferred
