Job Description

Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer at Bosch-HomeComfort is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to achieve safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role is crucial in bridging engineering design and production, optimizing workflows, tooling, and documentation while supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes and production documentation
  • Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing layouts
  • Support new product introductions from design through full-rate production
  • Analyze production performance and implement cost and waste reduction initiatives
  • Collaborate with design engineering for manufacturability
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause corrective actions
  • Establish and maintain process control plans and standard work
  • Support capital equipment selection, installation, and qualification
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety policies
  • Maintain a strong shop-floor presence for rapid response to production initiatives

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining and assembly
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency with engineering drawings and process documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to HVAC manufacturing (preferred)
  • Experience with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools (preferred)
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and MES (preferred)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification (preferred)
  • CNC, automation, robotics, or equipment programming experience (preferred)
