Job Description

Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer at Anderson Dahlen serves as a key link between the Engineering and Production teams. This role focuses on developing and enhancing manufacturing plans within the ERP system, ensuring the accuracy of BOMs and routings, and supporting Design for Manufacturability processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop production plans by entering BOMs and routings into the ERP system
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers, CAD Designers, Engineers, and Production
  • Support welding, machining, finishing, and assembly activities
  • Identify and address potential manufacturing issues
  • Conduct cross-functional manufacturing reviews
  • Collaborate with Operations to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and new hires
  • Demonstrate safety culture aligned with company expectations
  • Travel occasionally to customer sites for installation support

Required skills

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Machine Design, or related field
  • 1-5 years experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • AAS degree with 3-7 years experience in a Technical/Engineering field
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Made to Manage
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks or 3D CAD software
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, forming, bending, and laser
