Job Description

Overview

The Manufacturing Area Manager at Clarios is tasked with organizing and implementing plans and procedures to optimize resource utilization in line with plant goals. The role involves supervising Manufacturing Supervisors, ensuring safety and quality standards, and fostering positive employee relations while driving productivity and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise Manufacturing Supervisors in production, distribution, and quality management.
  • Ensure employee relations through regular meetings and management of personnel decisions.
  • Stimulate efficiency and productivity among production employees and supervisors.
  • Establish and administer performance goals for departments in coordination with the Plant Manager.
  • Oversee the selection, hiring, and development of Manufacturing Supervisors.
  • Coordinate area activities with other production areas and develop weekly schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Recommend and manage improvements in equipment and processes.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in a manufacturing environment in management or engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience supervising salaried employees.
  • Preferred experience in Injection Molding environment.
  • Preferred experience managing multiple shift operations.
