Overview

Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Applications Engineer to support its Industrial Water platform in Tustin, California. This role focuses on developing technical solutions and proposals for industrial water and wastewater treatment systems, contributing to innovative engineering projects in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Business Development and Sales teams by understanding customer requirements and developing tailored solutions.
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, including bookings and margin performance.
  • Interpret technical specifications and bid documents to prepare comprehensive proposal responses.
  • Design and develop Reverse Osmosis and control systems for various projects.
  • Develop cost-effective solutions in collaboration with Supply Chain.
  • Prepare water mass balances and performance projections for systems.
  • Partner with Drafting to produce relevant documentation for proposals.
  • Collaborate with various teams to prepare cost estimates and project pricing models.
  • Support Project Management and Engineering during installation and testing phases.
  • Build and maintain relationships with End Users and Engineering Consultants.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience in application engineering for industrial water and wastewater treatment systems
  • Experience in modeling treatment solutions based on water analysis
  • Knowledge of proposals, costing, pricing, and contract negotiations
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, with international travel preferred
