Job Description

Overview

The Manufacturing and Process Engineer at Clarios will participate in various projects within the Manufacturing Facility, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and system design deliverables. The role involves developing process specifications, updating work instructions, and providing technical support for plant operations, while also ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop changes to existing equipment
  • Function as a Project Lead in smaller development projects
  • Provide technical support for plant operations including maintenance and project implementation
  • Prepare project review information for leadership
  • Implement process changes and assist with the development of production expansion equipment
  • Ensure processes meet safety, environmental, and quality requirements
  • Develop equipment functional statements of work and acceptance test plans
  • Travel to equipment supplier sites for qualification and acceptance testing

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to interpret and design pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of PLC programming using RSLogix/Studio5000
  • 3D modeling and 2D drafting experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with Minitab and Six Sigma
