Overview

The Managing Consultant - Corporate Finance - Turnaround & Restructuring role at Berkeley Research Group focuses on providing strategic, operational, and financial advice to clients in various industries, particularly those underperforming or in transition. The position involves managing client service teams and collaborating with experts to tackle turnaround advisory assignments effectively.

Key responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day activities of client service teams on engagements
  • Manage junior team members across multiple tasks
  • Utilize financial and analytical skills to perform tasks including cash flow and three-statement modeling
  • Prepare reports, analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables
  • Participate in marketing, client pitches and practice development

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in consulting or professional services
  • Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, especially Excel
  • Ability to manage large volumes of financial and operational data
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills
  • CFA, CPA, or equivalent accounting expertise is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Familiarity with financial research tools like Capital IQ and Bloomberg
  • Willingness to travel as needed
