Overview

Amber K. Boyd Attorney at Law is seeking a Managing Attorney to lead the litigation team specializing in employment law cases. This role involves overseeing legal strategy, managing attorneys and staff, and ensuring high-quality advocacy for clients throughout the litigation process.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee litigation strategy for employment law cases from EEOC charge through trial
  • Provide strategic guidance on case theory, evidence development, and damages strategy
  • Review pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement demands
  • Prepare attorneys for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
  • Supervise associate attorneys, paralegals, and litigation staff
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development for legal team members
  • Monitor caseloads and ensure cases are progressing appropriately
  • Oversee settlement negotiations and mediation preparation
  • Work with firm leadership to improve litigation systems and workflows
  • Serve as lead or supervising attorney on complex cases

Required skills

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Indiana (or eligibility for admission)
  • 7+ years of litigation experience
  • Strong litigation skills including discovery, depositions, motions practice, and mediation
  • Proven experience managing or supervising attorneys
  • Employment law experience strongly preferred
