Overview

The Manager of Reimbursement at CHRISTUS Health is responsible for ensuring accurate payments from various Third Party programs and maintaining proper accounting for multiple facilities, including acute care and rehabilitation units. This role involves analyzing monthly financial data, preparing cost reports, coordinating audits, and collaborating with administrative teams to optimize reimbursement processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly contractual allowance journal entries and calculations.
  • Analyze monthly contractual allowance variances and provide explanations to Hospital Administration.
  • Prepare final hospital and home office cost reports, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate Medicare Field Audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Act as a liaison to External Financial Auditors during audits.
  • Prepare appeals and position papers for inappropriate settlements.
  • Assist in the maintenance of rate tables for Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Monitor interim payment rates and coordinate with intermediaries.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional teams for process standardization.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and participate in educational events.
