Overview

Sentara Health is seeking a Full-Time Manager, Operational Process Improvement Engineer to lead a team focused on enhancing clinical and operational processes. The role involves interfacing with senior leadership to identify improvement opportunities, managing multiple projects, and overseeing staff personnel.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Process Improvement Engineers
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical or operational processes
  • Organize resources and implement improvement methodologies
  • Design, plan, and implement process improvement projects
  • Manage multiple projects for various senior leaders simultaneously
  • Oversee the change process including financial, operational, and human resource aspects
  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate staff performance

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • 5 years of experience in process improvement engineering
  • Workflow redesign and labor management experience
  • Change management proficiency
  • Data analysis and project management skills
  • Understanding of financial and HR implications of change efforts
