Overview

Sentara Health is seeking a Full-Time Manager, Operational Process Improvement Engineer to lead the Operations Improvement team in Virginia Beach, VA. This role involves managing process improvement projects that enhance clinical and operational processes, interfacing with senior leaders, and ensuring successful implementation of improvement methodologies.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Process Improvement Senior Engineers/Engineers.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and organize resources.
  • Select and implement appropriate improvement methodologies.
  • Manage multiple projects for senior leaders, prioritizing to meet tight timelines.
  • Design, plan, and implement process improvement projects.
  • Handle all aspects of the change process, including financial, operational, and human resource implications.
  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate staff personnel.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • 5 years of experience in process improvement engineering
  • Experience in workflow redesign, labor management, and productivity improvement
  • Change management and project management skills
  • Data analysis expertise
  • Understanding of the implications of large-scale change efforts
