Overview

The Manager of Environmental Compliance and Sustainability at Utah Transit Authority will lead efforts in environmental planning, compliance, and sustainability to support the organization's mission of responsible transportation. This role focuses on guiding capital projects from concept to operation while ensuring regulatory compliance and minimizing environmental impacts.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a team responsible for environmental planning, documentation, sustainability, and compliance.
  • Oversee environmental requirements and support project managers from planning through construction and operation of projects.
  • Communicate with public and internal stakeholders regarding sensitive issues.

Required skills

  • Seven years of environmental and/or planning experience with transportation projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Transportation Planning,
  • Knowledge of FTA and NEPA regulations regarding environmental compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience with local planning and regulatory processes, federal and local environmental requirements, and grant process
