Overview

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Manager, Internal Reporting for their client, a leader in the Energy industry. This role involves managing monthly reviews of financial reports, ensuring adherence to accounting policies, and overseeing the financial consolidation and planning system.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly review of regional and consolidated financial reports
  • Ensure consistent application of corporate accounting policies and internal controls
  • Oversee the company's consolidation and planning system (SAP BPC)
  • Develop financial reports for regional and consolidated levels
  • Support preparation and review of quarterly and year-end financial statements
  • Assist in continuous improvement of reporting processes
  • Provide supervision and support to a team of 4 accounting professionals
  • Promote a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, collaboration and communication

Required skills

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in financial accounting and reporting
  • CPA designation (CAD or International)
  • Strong IFRS knowledge and experience with complex accounting transactions
  • Supervisory or managerial experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in multi-jurisdictional and multi-currency accounting
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry preferred
