Overview

The Manager of Information Services at CHRISTUS Health will oversee the implementation and management of healthcare technology programs, ensuring that services are delivered efficiently. This role involves training and mentoring team members while driving process improvements and managing project scopes within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage implementation, support, lifecycle management, and strategy for designated programs
  • Train, mentor, and coach Information Services associates
  • Lead projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Monitor and report on day-to-day operations to support resource utilization
  • Manage a full workload across multiple projects while leading a team
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop direct reports
  • Conduct performance reviews for team members
  • Manage time and attendance/payroll for associates
  • May require travel and working outside normal hours

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • Financial skills related to budgeting and managing departmental budgets
  • Knowledge of major healthcare information systems
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT leadership role
  • Experience in customer support in a matrixed organization
  • Ability to handle multiple complex projects
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
