Overview

The Manager, Electrical Engineering - FPGA will oversee a team of engineers dedicated to the development of FPGA firmware for secure tactical communication products. This role requires substantial expertise in FPGA/ASIC based embedded systems and project leadership, as well as the ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of embedded FPGA engineers
  • Drive the completion of projects and track team metrics
  • Maintain and improve FPGA development processes
  • Create cost estimates and development schedules for projects
  • Manage budget and schedule for assigned firmware development projects
  • Conduct supervisorial tasks and career development for team members

Required skills

  • 8+ years of experience in FPGA/Firmware development
  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related STEM degree
  • Project leadership and management in embedded systems design
  • Knowledge of FPGA/ASIC development and verification processes
  • Active SECRET Clearance
  • Technical writing skills
  • Experience with VHDL/Verilog coding
  • Experience with SystemVerilog for FPGA/ASIC verification
  • Familiarity with UVM/OVM verification methodology
  • Experience in embedded cryptographic security solutions
  • Experience in signal processing for communication products

What the company offers

  • Full-time position
  • Pay range of $108,500 to $201,500 based on experience
