Overview

As a Manager in Data Science - AI Foundations at Capital One, you will lead a team that integrates cutting-edge machine learning technologies to enhance customer interactions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop AI-driven products that personalize customer experiences and streamline financial decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Leverage technology stacks like Pytorch and AWS to analyze large datasets.
  • Utilize Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) for customer applications.
  • Build machine learning and NLP models from design to operational deployment.
  • Translate complex data insights into actionable business goals.

Required skills

  • Experience in data analytics with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field.
  • At least 1 year of experience with large-scale data analysis using open source programming languages.
  • Proficiency in machine learning and relational database systems.
  • Experience with Python, Scala, or R.
  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud computing.
