Overview

The University of Illinois Foundation is seeking a Manager of Data Delivery & Operations to oversee data warehouse and analytics development for its enterprise data platform. This role entails managing a team, coordinating projects, and ensuring the smooth operation and delivery of data-related tasks within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a team, setting strategic priorities and directing work
  • Delegate and review team members' work to ensure it meets requirements and deadlines
  • Coordinate incoming work and streamline the data team intake process
  • Oversee data projects of less than 100 hours and operational requests
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for data-related projects
  • Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle processes

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, Information Systems, or Computer Science
  • 3-5 years of experience managing technical projects in a data warehouse or BI environment
  • Experience with software maintenance and task coordination across technical teams
  • Knowledge of data warehouse development processes and production support practices
  • 2 years of release management coordination experience with technical teams
  • Practical project management experience using Agile or similar methodologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or cloud-based data platforms
  • Familiarity with enterprise reporting tools like Power BI or SSRS
  • Understanding of fundraising operations and nonprofit data environments
