Job Description

Overview

The Manager, Cyber Technical role at Capital One involves consulting on initiatives related to Information Security and Risk Management. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with various teams to enhance security measures and ensure robust protection of both customer and associate data.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a central contact for Information Security and Risk Management for the business
  • Coordinate proactive Information Security consulting for technology teams
  • Serve as an expert in Capital One's Information Security capabilities and standards
  • Influence customers to leverage security capabilities in development processes
  • Work with leadership to anticipate objectives and needs to enhance service
  • Interface effectively with upper management, IT leaders, and vendors

Required skills

  • At least 6 years of experience in security concepts and risk assessments
  • Experience in security architecture reviews and Cloud infrastructure
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOC audits and certifications
  • Experience managing Canadian regulators (OPC, OSFI)
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience
  • Experience securing public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Agile methodologies experience
  • Software Application Security and Secure Architecture
  • Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Management
  • Professional certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP
