Overview

The University of Cincinnati is seeking a full-time Manager of Communications & Marketing for the Hoxworth Blood Center. This role involves developing and executing integrated marketing strategies to enhance donor engagement and expand market presence while aligning with organizational goals. The incumbent will work closely with leadership to strengthen the Hoxworth Blood Center brand and advance its mission of saving lives.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the marketing team to execute high-impact initiatives driving organizational growth
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to increase donor engagement, volume, and revenue
  • Plan, manage, and optimize integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing effectiveness
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across marketing channels
  • Collaborate with Operations, Laboratory, and Finance teams for alignment on marketing strategies
  • Oversee digital marketing platforms including SEO/SEM strategies and marketing automation
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors to support marketing objectives
  • Develop, manage, and oversee departmental budgets and resource allocation
  • Provide supervision to staff including hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Five years of relevant work experience in marketing
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in campaign development across multiple channels
  • Knowledge of healthcare or regulated environments
  • Experience with CRM platforms and marketing automation tools
