Job DescriptionGENERAL PURPOSE: This position will be responsible to develop and execute a variety of broad Commodity strategies for MITER Brands. The Commodity Manager will be responsible for managing 3-4 subcategories. The Commodity Manager will develop supplier and commodity cost down strategies, analyzing/communicating market intelligence, leading commercial negotiations and monitor supplier performance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish supplier relationships (strategic, critical or tactical)Maintain relationship with sustaining engineering & product managementLead commercial QBR'sConduct/analyze RFQ'sSupplier executive engagement/relationshipAcquire, maintain, and communicate market trendsReview supplier quarterly/annual reports (when applicable)Lead routine supplier reviewsSupport supplier quality improvementsRecommend supplier auditsIdentify optimal terms across the enterpriseSupport product rationalization/harmonization effortsDrive supplier performance improvement when neededMonitor supplier performanceLead commercial negotiationsDeveloping category-level strategiesCurating supplier relationshipsAchieving lower costsHelp to create a competitive advantageCreate analysis reportsMaintain relationship with NPD engineering & product managementQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: BA/BS required; MS preferredCPM, CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.Minimum of 2 years sourcing experience working for a major, large dollar operation.
