Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, the Manager, BD Operations & Alliance Management will have the following specific job responsibilities: 1) Develop in-depth market research and competitor analysis strategies within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, providing internal teams with effective methods to support data-driven decision-making processes; 2) Monitor changes in consumer demand and regulatory landscapes, identify potential market opportunities or threats, and implement business development strategies to support the company's objectives; 3) Develop dashboards and analytical reports that support management by delivering actionable insights, identifying trends, and improving strategic decision-making; 4) Coordinate and oversee internal processes, managing business development systems and databases, and working with legal and finance teams to ensure smooth contract execution and compliance; 5) Foster professional relationships with key stakeholders and customers by engaging through multiple communication channels to assess customer needs, identify new business opportunities, strengthen the company's market presence, and negotiate business deals; 6) Track partner obligations and coordinate cross-functional alignment to support ongoing collaborations; 7) Manage alliance communications to ensure effective information flow between internal teams and external partners to align strategic goals; 8) Stay current on industry developments, market trends, and emerging opportunities within the biological discovery and early-stage development services landscape, and make recommendations to management to improve the company's business development efforts; 9) Oversee and track the progress of ongoing business development projects while actively facilitating and guiding the process to ensure the successful closing of deals; and 10) Develop and oversee internal procedures and operations, ensuring the effective management and maintenance of business development infrastructure, including administering BI systems, managing business and market databases, handling contracts and agreements, and maintaining work orders and deal lists. Work Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field plus a minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated professional employment experience conducting market research and supporting business development in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. Required knowledge and experience must include the following: 1) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in conducting data analysis, market research, competitive landscape analysis, and market forecasting within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry; 2) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in building dashboards and data analysis reports using Excel, Tableau, and Salesforce; 3) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in performing data-driven business development analysis, including deal comparable analysis for strategic transactions; 4) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in relationship building to facilitate business development and partnerships; 5) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting data analysis or business development capability reports to support decision-making; 6) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in coordinating and supporting business development operations; 7) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in coordinating cross-functional communications to ensure effective information flow and alignment on strategic initiatives; 8) Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field level of knowledge in marketing and strategic management.
