Overview

Duke Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures at their Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, North Carolina. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care and the effective operation of mammography equipment, alongside a commitment to quality control and professional education.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures
  • Operate mammographic radiographic equipment and related devices
  • Position patients and calculate exposure factors
  • Assist physicians and explain procedures to patients
  • Charge mammographic procedures and supplies in Maestro or EPIC
  • Provide orientation and training to new and student Mammographers
  • Monitor quality control functions related to mammography
  • Compile statistical data and maintain accurate procedure charges

Required skills

  • ARRT certification in radiography
  • ARRT advanced certification in mammography
  • Experience in performing mammography examinations
  • Knowledge of FDA/MQSA regulations
  • BLS certification
  • Technical skills in medical imaging and patient care
