Overview

The Mammographer in the Imaging Float Pool at OhioHealth is responsible for providing high-quality mammography services while ensuring excellent patient care. This role involves performing mammograms, assisting with stereotactic biopsies, and maintaining quality control practices to meet regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Conducts mammograms, escorts patients, completes documentation, and explains procedures.
  • Assists radiologists with stereotactic biopsy and needle localizations.
  • Performs quality control and assurance practices and manages equipment maintenance.
  • Maintains accurate patient records and ensures compliance with FDA and ACR standards.

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree in Applied Science, Radiology, or Mammography
  • ARRT certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Strong understanding of mammography quality standards
