Overview

The Mammographer II role at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City involves providing mammography imaging services and conducting stereo procedures, along with performing bone density assessments. The position requires operating imaging equipment, educating patients, and ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key responsibilities

  • Operates mammography equipment and performs related procedures
  • Prepares and positions patients for imaging
  • Explains procedures and educates patients on breast health
  • Develops and evaluates images for technical quality
  • Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines
  • Submits high-quality images and documentation to PACS
  • Maintains equipment functionality and cleanliness of department
  • Assists in maintaining order in procedure rooms and other areas
  • Performs other assigned duties as necessary

Required skills

  • Completion of a Radiology Technology program
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
  • ARRT-R Radiography certification
  • ARRT-M Mammography certification
  • ARRT-BD Bone Density certification (if applicable)
  • Strong communication skills for patient interaction
  • Ability to work in a safe and alert manner
  • Physical capability to handle frequent lifting and moving of patients
