Job Description

Overview

The Make Ready Technician at BH is responsible for restoring vacant apartment units to market-ready condition in a timely manner, along with performing general repairs and maintenance of the property's interior and exterior. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Restore vacant units to move-in ready condition using industry-specific technology
  • Perform repairs and upkeep related to exterior grounds and common areas
  • Identify and report hazardous conditions to the Community Manager and Service Manager
  • Follow and document preventive maintenance programs per company guidelines
  • Maintain and secure all property-issued tools
  • Post notices to vacate and communicate community updates as needed
  • Comply with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and safety requirements

Required skills

  • General maintenance and safety experience
  • Basic computer skills/knowledge
  • Ability to perform manual, task-oriented work under supervision
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Provide own hand tools
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds and full range of motion required
  • Operation of a motor vehicle onsite, if applicable
