Overview

Join Catholic Charities as a Major Gifts Officer, where you will play a crucial role in fostering donor partnerships to advance the organization's mission. This position is centered on relationship management and successful fundraising initiatives, focused on managing a portfolio of major donors and generating substantial revenue for community programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Actively solicit and close new major gifts to achieve annual revenue goals.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors, focusing on revenue generation and donor retention.
  • Conduct donor research and maintain accurate records in Raiser's Edge.
  • Implement donor acknowledgment and recognition strategies.
  • Assist in developing annual fundraising and strategic growth goals.
  • Represent the agency at community events and provide tours to donors.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Six years of experience in development or donor relations
  • Proven track record in securing individual gifts of $10,000 or more
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Raisers Edge donor database software
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office programs
  • Project management and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment
