Overview

Join Catholic Charities of Central Colorado as a Major Gifts Officer, where you will play a crucial role in advancing the organization’s mission through strong donor partnerships. This position focuses on managing and growing a portfolio of major donors, generating revenue, and connecting philanthropic investments to impactful programs in the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Actively solicit and close new major gifts to meet defined annual revenue goals.
  • Implement a comprehensive donor acknowledgment plan.
  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of donors for revenue generation and donor retention.
  • Conduct research to identify potential donors and build relationships.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and information in Raiser's Edge.
  • Assist in developing annual fundraising strategies and goals.
  • Represent the agency at community events and provide tours for stakeholders.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Six years of experience in development, donor relations, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in securing individual gifts of $10,000 or more.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Experience with donor database software, preferably Raiser's Edge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
