Overview

The Major Gift Officer, Corporate Giving at SBP is a frontline fundraiser responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with corporate partners to support the organization's mission of disaster recovery and resilience. This role involves strategic relationship-building, portfolio management, and collaboration across departments to align corporate engagement with SBP's goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate donors and prospects to achieve annual fundraising goals
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate partners through all stages of the donor lifecycle
  • Develop customized engagement and sponsorship opportunities aligning corporate philanthropic priorities with SBP's mission
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate leaders and foundations
  • Prepare proposals, sponsorship packages, presentations, and reports for corporate audiences
  • Support the development of multi-year and transformational corporate partnerships
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop donor-centered engagement strategies
  • Represent SBP at external meetings and events to enhance visibility and partnerships
  • Conduct prospect research for new corporate funding opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records of donor engagement and revenue forecasting within the CRM system

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in fundraising, business development, or partnership management
  • Experience with managing donor relationships and achieving revenue goals
  • Hands-on experience with CRMs like Salesforce or Raiser's Edge
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship-building abilities
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
