Job Description Maintenance Technician ( MT)Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician (MT) is responsible for:Performs maintenance on automated production machinery to reduce equipment downtime and meet production schedules. Performs preventive and predictive maintenance as required to ensure equipment availability. Position reports to a Maintenance Supervisor.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works in a safe manner and is trained in all appropriate plant safety programs.Performs equipment relocations, crating or uncrating of parts, mechanical adjustments and alignments, identifying and ordering of spare parts, documenting all work, clean-up before leaving job, attending relevant training and meetings.Participates in projects and upgrades.Understanding of technical drawings and schematicsWork with suppliers to resolve technical issues Machine shop personnel : Knowledge of machining techniques/processes including manual milling, turning, grinding, welding. Machine shop personnel : Knowledge of machining techniques/processes including manual milling, turning, grinding, welding, CNC machine setup, programming, and operation. Mold shop personnel : Knowledge of mold repair, teardown, assembly, and cleaning. Learning Mold Shop equipment and mold maintenance methods. Job RequirementsMinimum HS Diploma or GED equivalent requiredTechnical Associates degree (2 year) preferredPreferred 3 years of applicable experience/demonstrated skill requiredRequired 2 years as a Production Technician or AuxiliaryMust have experience with basic hand toolsMust be able to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams, knowledge of hydraulics preferredStrong communication skillsWork effectively under stressful conditionsWork with limited supervisionPhysical/Safety RequirementsDuties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends.Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to climb ladders. Must be able to stand and work at two-hour minimum intervals. The estimated base salary for this position is $46,464 - $69,696 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
