Overview

The Maintenance Technician II at Marriott International plays a crucial role in ensuring a comfortable environment for guests by addressing repair requests and performing preventive maintenance. This position requires communication with guests to resolve maintenance issues and involves a variety of tasks related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with general maintenance duties.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
  • Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Assure safety by following company policies and performing safety training
  • Mentor and train junior engineers
  • Perform general housekeeping and engineering-related tasks as needed
