Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Technician II on the 2nd shift at Rise Baking Company, LLC is responsible for supporting the maintenance program of the plant, ensuring compliance with food safety policies and OSHA regulations. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical problems, performing preventive maintenance, and carrying out building repairs to maintain efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems with plant equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment
  • Conduct building maintenance and repairs, including HVAC and lighting
  • Fabricate replacement parts or equipment as needed
  • Electronically troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment and 24 Volt control circuits
  • Report food safety and quality issues
  • Comply with food safety requirements and training
  • Assist in a variety of job-related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • 2-year degree in electronics or maintenance mechanics or 5+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic
  • Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, machine shop, electricity, or electronics
  • Advanced knowledge of CMMS and lockout/tagout programs
  • Skill in stick and tig welding to sanitary standards
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
