Overview

The Maintenance Technician II at Marriott International will respond to guest repair requests and perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment. The role requires effective communication with guests to resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision, ensuring that maintenance inventory is managed and that all safety and security policies are followed.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
  • Maintain and requisition maintenance inventory and parts.
  • Communicate daily activities and challenges to other shifts.
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on various equipment.
  • Assist with surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs.
  • Use Lockout/Tagout system prior to maintenance work.
  • Train and mentor other engineers.
  • Follow company safety and security policies.

Required skills

  • Knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
  • Electrical and plumbing repair skills.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting expertise.
  • Carpentry and finish skills.
  • Familiarity with engineering computer programs.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
