Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Technician II will support the maintenance program at Rise Baking Company by focusing on plant equipment and building maintenance while ensuring compliance with food safety policies and OSHA regulations. The role requires both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to maintain optimal operation of machinery and facility systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with plant equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with plant equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment
  • Conduct building maintenance and repairs
  • Fabricate replacement parts or equipment as needed
  • Electronically troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment
  • Report food safety and quality issues
  • Comply with food safety requirements and procedures
  • Complete other job-related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • 2-year degree in electronics or maintenance mechanics or 5+ years in maintenance mechanic role
  • Experience with repair or preventive maintenance in hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Knowledge of CMMS and lockout/tagout programs
  • Experience with boiler operations and cooling media
  • Advanced welding skills (stick and TIG) to sanitary standards
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment
