Overview

West Fraser is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their Jacksonville Beach location. The role involves ensuring that all machinery, particularly the planer, operates effectively and meets quality and safety standards while performing preventive maintenance and repairs.

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety rules
  • Set, monitor, and maintain the planer machine for consistent lumber flow
  • Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery
  • Assist maintenance team with major repairs as needed
  • Maintain operational quality and finish of the product
  • Change knives and keep machine set to proper tolerances
  • Conduct housekeeping duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Complete required training and assessments for millwright duties
