Overview

West Fraser is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Orange Park, Florida. The role involves ensuring proper operation and maintenance of planer machines, performing both minor and preventive maintenance, and assisting with major repairs, all while adhering to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment and follow safety rules
  • Perform critical measurements using calipers
  • Set, monitor, and maintain planer machine operations
  • Feed the planer and ensure constant lumber flow
  • Maintain quality finish of the product and proper machine setup
  • Perform routine maintenance and lubrication on machines
  • Change knives and assist with maintenance repairs on other machines
  • Complete West Fraser Qualified Millwright training and assessments
