Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. This role supports production by performing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment issues, and helping minimize downtime.RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, conveyors, and related equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues by observing equipment operation, using diagnostic tools, and interpreting schematics and manuals.Remove and replace defective components using hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment as required.Adjust and maintain machinery, controls, and instrumentation to ensure optimal performance.Coordinate with production personnel to schedule and complete preventive maintenance activities.Communicate equipment status, maintenance needs, and repair schedules to supervisors and production teams.Provide technical support and maintenance recommendations to improve equipment reliability.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures.QUALIFICATIONS:Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including 120V, 208/240V, and 480V 3-phase power.Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical wiring schematics.Experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems.Welding equipment maintenance and repair experience is preferred.Bridge crane maintenance and repair experience is preferred.Experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or other preventive maintenance programs.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.Why Join Behlen Building Systems?Opportunity for career growth and advancement.Work with a team focused on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.Gain experience maintaining a wide variety of manufacturing equipment and systems.Compensation details: 30-36 Hourly WagePI58d935bc5-
