Overview

IA Recruiting is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role involves repairing and maintaining various machinery and mechanical equipment, requiring a journeyman card and at least one year of experience in a relevant field.

Key responsibilities

  • Observe mechanical devices in operation to identify issues
  • Dismantle devices to access and replace defective parts
  • Inspect parts to detect imperfections and ensure dimensional accuracy
  • Adjust functional parts and control instruments as needed
  • Repair or replace defective parts
  • Install special functional and structural parts
  • Lubricate and clean machinery parts
  • Test equipment performance after repairs
  • Set up and operate metalworking tools like lathes and grinders
  • Initiate purchase orders for parts and machinery
