Maintenance Technician - JLLWhat this job involves:Join our dynamic facilities team where you'll play a critical role in maintaining optimal building operations across multiple properties. This hands-on position focuses on equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all facility systems with an emphasis on maximizing "wrench time" and direct technical work. You'll be responsible for ensuring seamless building operations while delivering exceptional service to our clients and tenants. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse building systems, develop advanced technical skills, and contribute directly to JLL's reputation for operational excellence in facilities management.What your day-to-day will look like:Perform comprehensive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility equipment including carpentry and mechanical systems with minimal operational disruptionExecute preventive maintenance schedules on all base building and critical system equipment, completing thorough documentation and reporting any equipment issues or supply shortagesConduct carpentry, sheet metal, and sheetrock work including patching, painting, and general building repairs for interior and exterior surfacesAnalyze system operations, diagnose malfunctions, and implement corrective actions while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and building codesCoordinate with client representatives and work order requestors to schedule repairs within operational windows and minimize tenant impactRespond to emergency calls and perform overtime work as needed while maintaining coverage across multiple building locationsRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent educationAt least 3 years in carpentry, sheet metal work, and general building maintenance techniquesValid driver's licensePhysical ability to lift 50+ pounds, work at heights, operate power tools, and perform overhead workPreferred Qualifications:Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systemsMust be proficient in basic computer skills (spread sheets, reports)Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental complianceExcellent written and verbal communication skills with customer service orientationConflict resolution skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teamsLocation: Onsite - East Syracuse, NYWork Shift: Monday to Friday 7:15am to 4pm + On-call availability + Overtime as neededSalary/ Comp: $24.03$ - 26.92$ + OvertimeAt JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way - for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees.
