Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Technician at Optima, Inc. will work in a fast-paced environment performing crucial maintenance services for a luxury apartment community. This role includes tasks such as service requests, unit turns, and preventative maintenance, emphasizing the importance of maintenance in the success of the property.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete apartment home make-readies/turns, including painting and repairs
  • Turnover vacant units in preparation for future residents
  • Maintain general upkeep of the property and grounds, including amenity areas
  • Conduct ongoing preventative maintenance to keep the property in top condition
  • Perform general carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing repairs
  • Record and maintain work order notes, daily logs, and on-call sheets
  • Serve on the on-call team, with rotating after-hours availability
  • Complete resident work order requests

Required skills

  • Customer service skills
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task
  • General maintenance knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, drywall, and appliance repair
  • Possession of a current and valid driver's license
  • Physical capacity to lift 100 lbs
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in maintenance
