Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Technician for Metalcraft of Mayville will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment and computer-controlled systems, such as PLCs and robotics, to support production operations in a manufacturing environment. The role is for the 2nd shift, from 2pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Manage equipment calibrations and configurations to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate maintenance inventories to maximize efficiency.
  • Develop and manage relationships with outside contractors and vendors.
  • Generate daily work logs for tracking work orders and project assignments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and enforce maintenance safety requirements.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Maintenance experience, ideally in a rotational molding shop
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for a variety of equipment
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control aspects of robotic equipment
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting, repair, and programming
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
