Overview

Cargill is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support their Food Enterprise in Lansing, New York. The role involves performing industrial maintenance tasks, ensuring safety compliance, and working with various mechanical and electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility
  • Document all completed work and conditions found using maintenance software
  • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various mechanical and electrical components
  • Operate standard maintenance tools including power tools and hand tools
  • Comprehend mechanical and electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Work with heavy equipment and underground in a mining environment as required

Required skills

  • Experience with industrial electrical knowledge and mechanical maintenance trades
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50lbs
  • Experience with maintenance management software such as SAP or CMMS
  • ATF certification or willingness to obtain
  • High school diploma or GED
