Job Description

Overview

Cargill is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to support their operations as a trusted salt supplier across various industries. The role involves performing industrial maintenance, ensuring the functionality and safety of equipment and systems while contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility
  • Document all completed work and conditions found using maintenance computer software
  • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various components and systems including heavy mobile equipment and hydraulic systems
  • Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools and hand tools
  • Comprehend mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals
  • Operate forklifts and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform various physical tasks
  • Minimum of one year of experience with industrial electrical knowledge and mechanical maintenance
  • Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Certified Maintenance Reliability Technician (CMRT) or willingness to acquire certification
  • Heavy equipment/industrial maintenance technical diploma or 3 years equivalent experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining various components and systems
