Overview

Baker Manufacturing is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st and 2nd shifts to perform maintenance tasks in a foundry environment. The role involves preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on various industrial systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on foundry machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective repairs
  • Conduct welding and fabrication for equipment repair or modification
  • Utilize CMMS to log maintenance activities and track parts usage
  • Assist in the startup of new machinery and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating machines
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and an organized maintenance area

Required skills

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in foundry or heavy manufacturing
  • High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and foundry regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Electrical certification or journeyman status is a plus
  • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and programming
  • Experience with welding and fabrication
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems
