Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Technician at Advanced Technology Services (ATS) plays a crucial role in ensuring that factories operate efficiently. With responsibilities ranging from preventative maintenance to troubleshooting complex systems, this position requires a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems and offers opportunities for career development within the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance
  • Observe devices to locate root causes of problems
  • Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
  • Repair and/or replace defective parts
  • Test devices to observe performance
  • Set up and operate machining operations including lathe, drill press, and grinder
  • Comply with 5S and housekeeping standards
  • Drive and participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Update records and review CMMS history
  • Troubleshoot and analyze control systems
  • Utilize predictive maintenance technologies
  • Provide assistance to lower level technicians
  • Complete on-the-job and technical self-study programs
  • Follow safety-related policies and regulations

Required skills

  • High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
  • Associates degree with Technical focus and 3 years related experience or 5 years experience
  • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems
  • Ability to use basic and specialized hand tools
  • Experience in welding and machining operations
  • Ability to analyze problems and perform repairs
