Overview

Cargill is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team in Champlain, New York. This role involves performing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of various mechanical and electrical systems within the facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility
  • Documenting all completed work and conditions found using maintenance software
  • Installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing various components and systems
  • Operating standard maintenance tools and heavy equipment
  • Understanding and adhering to safety policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Required skills

  • 4+ years of maintenance experience
  • Electrical troubleshooting knowledge
  • Basic computer skills
  • Planning and/or scheduling experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical job duties
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Maintenance technical degree and inventory systems knowledge preferred
