Job Description

Overview

Cargill is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their facility in Morrisonville, New York. This full-time position involves performing industrial maintenance, ensuring the operation of various systems, and maintaining safety standards within the workplace.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility
  • Document all completed work and conditions found using maintenance software
  • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various components and systems
  • Operate standard maintenance tools including power tools and hand tools
  • Comprehend mechanical/electrical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals
  • Operate forklifts and heavy equipment
  • Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience or electrical troubleshooting knowledge
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills
  • Planning and/or scheduling experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical job duties
  • Experience understanding and communicating in English
  • Previous forklift experience
  • Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and Word
  • Maintenance technical degree and understanding of various systems including pneumatic and electrical assemblies
