Overview

Cargill is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its facility in Cambridge, Vermont. This role involves performing various maintenance duties to ensure equipment operates efficiently, contributing to Cargill’s mission of providing crucial food and agricultural solutions. The position is full-time on the 1st shift with a compensation range of $30.00 to $40.00 per hour based on experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility
  • Document and report all completed work and conditions found using maintenance software
  • Install, maintain, test, and repair various components and systems, including pumps and mobile equipment
  • Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools and hand tools
  • Comprehend mechanical/electrical schematics and operation manuals
  • Operate forklifts and heavy equipment while adhering to safety policies
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Required skills

  • 4 years of maintenance experience and/or electrical troubleshooting knowledge
  • Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor conditions
  • Basic computer skills, with experience in SAP or CMMS preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, mobile equipment repair, and safety compliance
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50lbs
