Overview

Horizon Realty Advisors LLC is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for their apartment community in Ellensburg, WA. The role involves assisting in property maintenance, managing service requests, and ensuring high resident satisfaction. Horizon is a fast-growing property management company that prioritizes team culture and offers rental housing discounts for onsite employees.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain positive resident relations through superior service
  • Inspect grounds, buildings, and community features to identify and correct hazardous conditions
  • Fulfill resident service requests in accordance with company policy
  • Monitor service request turnaround time to meet company standards
  • Perform unit inspections and make ready processes for new residents
  • Provide general maintenance and repairs for plumbing, electrical, and other building systems
  • Assist with in-house projects and capital projects
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance program
  • Ensure maintenance shop is organized and stocked per safety standards
  • Comply with federal, state, and local laws regarding Fair Housing

Required skills

  • General maintenance experience

  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and heating & cooling systems
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • HVAC I and II Certification preferred
  • CPO Certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA guidelines
